Civil Engineering deals with the
design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings. Civil
engineering is one of the most traditional engineering which emerged after military engineering.
Civil Engineering invoices the planning, design, construction and management of all types of works and facilities, including building and structures, transportation facilities, water resource development projects, power generation plants and other facilities to enhance the comforts of man. For the specialization in civil engineering students study fluid mechanics, strength of material, design of structures(steel/concrete), water resources engineering remote sensing, surveying, geomantic, construction engineering, structural engineering, hydrology and dams, soil engineering and irrigation engineering.

- For 3-Year diploma (1st Year) the Eligible candidate is who has passed matriculation or equivalent examination from institutions in Punjab or other State with Science, Mathematics and English.
- Duration of the course shall be 3-Year diploma including internship.
- Lateral Entry (Direct Admission to second Year) Eligible candidate is who has passed 10+2 Science/Vocational or ITI.
- Duration of the course shall be 2-Year including internship.
